Green Turtle Lodge
Green Turtle Lodge was purchased with 2 existing holiday rental units on a 1,500m² block, located 200 metres from Agnes Water’s main beach. The owner wanted to create a holiday destination for their extended family and friends, but wanted to retain and upgrade the units that would link to a new dwelling. The first process involved the construction of a 14 x 8 metre boat shed that was designed to sit well in the natural landscape. The units were then upgraded to one that consisted of 2 bedrooms, bathroom, kitchenette and living area that could be closed off to the new dwelling for family and guests. The new build was a 2-storey house with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, powder room, laundry, open kitchen/dining room, living room and rumpus room. Both levels opened on to north facing hardwood timber decks, which also linked to the external covered deck of the unit. Attention to detail was paramount when linking the dwellings, and a great deal of craftsmanship was required in the vast amounts of timberwork throughout the building. The result was a beautiful cedar clad home that was functional, bright and airy, and featured numerous outdoor living spaces that effortlessly blended into the landscape.
Dealing with Tharren made our building experience a pleasure. I've been in the property and construction industry for twenty years and I can safely say Tharren's attention to detail and ability to resolve design and construction issues is second to none. His level of honesty and integrity is something also to be treasured. I have no hesitation recommending Tharren and his team and would be happy to discuss our experience in more detail if required.
